VAKO Puts Chassis Robot Welding System into Service
Founded in 2007 to serve Turkish and European railways, VAKO has made significant progress since its inception. During this time, it has manufactured and delivered 600 different types of UIC-compliant wagons to various Railway Logistics Companies, and these wagons are operating seamlessly on the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) lines.
VAKO spares no effort in keeping up with technology. In this context, it has invested in manufacturing all types of wagon chassis using its own resources using gas metal arc welding machines. After completing all necessary training and testing, it commissioned the chassis robotic welding system on March 1, 2016.
The installed system is suitable for welding chassis lengths of 12-20 meters and has a daily capacity of three chassis welds. Furthermore, it completed the necessary maintenance work and received the ECM certificate, which is published on the Eradis website. TSI certification was completed by the end of March 2016, and all future production will continue to be TSI-compliant. With these investments, VAKO serves the railway world and is a source of pride for our country.
